About Darussalam

A Beacon of Faith, Knowledge, and Community

Darussalam Masjid & Cultural Centre was established in 2009 in response to the growing needs of the Muslim community across West London.

Located in the heart of West London, serving communities across Hounslow, Hillingdon, Ealing, Southall, and surrounding areas, Darussalam was founded by the local community who recognised the increasing need for a dedicated Islamic centre to serve the spiritual, educational, and wider community needs of local Muslims.

In a remarkable show of unity and commitment, the building was purchased by the local Muslim community during the blessed month of Ramadan, marking the beginning of Darussalam’s journey.

What began as a community-led vision has since grown into a thriving Islamic institution serving worshippers, families, students, and young people from across West London.

From the outset, Darussalam was never intended to be just a place of prayer. The vision was always broader — to establish a centre for worship, Islamic education, da’wah, community development, and long-term investment in future generations.

As the needs of the community grew, Darussalam evolved alongside them. Over the years, the masjid has expanded both in its physical capacity and in the range of services it provides, adapting its strategic focus to better serve the changing needs of the Muslim community.

Today, Darussalam places a strong emphasis on education, youth development, da’wah, family support, and creating safe and welcoming spaces for individuals of all ages to learn, grow, and strengthen their connection with Allah.

Our programmes serve children from the age of 6, young people, families, and adults through a wide range of educational pathways, Islamic learning opportunities, lectures, youth initiatives, and community services.

From Madrasah, Hifdh, Tibyān Institute, advanced Islamic learning, youth development programmes, matrimonial support, Nikah services, and funeral support, Darussalam continues to play a vital role in serving the Muslim community of West London.

Rooted firmly in the teachings of the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah, our commitment remains clear: to serve the community with sincerity, excellence, compassion, and a vision focused on nurturing confident future generations grounded in Islamic values.
